Chambers of Commerce

We recognize the crucial role chambers of commerce play in increasing the international preparation and competitiveness of local business.  Let us assist you in assuring that your chamber’s internationalization efforts are focused, effective and responsive to the needs of your member businesses. Of course, we are glad to assist any of your members with their international needs.  Please see the section For Businesses for more information on those services. The following are a few of the more important services we offer for chambers of commerce:

• Preparation of presentations or mini-courses relating to the US legal system, such as exporting to the USA/importing from the USA, US and international corporate governance, current developments in US business and capital markets law, an overview of key US laws for European businesses, legal and business English document drafting or any other related topics which may be of interest to your company. • Provision of support as professional interpreters or as representatives of your chamber of commerce’s interests for specific meetings or events (e.g. with foreign trade delegations, trade fair organization, and meetings with foreign public authorities) which are held in English, Italian or Spanish;
• Translation of complicated technical contracts and other documentation from Italian, Spanish, French or Portuguese into English, and vice-versa
• Professional preparation of all other types of English, Italian or Spanish-language texts, such those used on company websites
• Performance of country, market and industry-specific research in order to identify meaningful contacts or commercial and/or joint venture partners abroad, including research on commercial trade practices or market studies (where research is to be carried out in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, or a combination of the above);
• Provision of all other types of legal, commercial or linguistic assistance to your chamber of commerce, where the involvement of mother-tongue English, Italian or Spanish speaking professionals would bring added-value to your chamber’s projects;

Government Ministries (Justice, Economy & Trade) and Capital Market and Securities Regulators

We can assist your ministry or regulatory body with any US, English or Italian legal advice you may need as regards specific projects, whether they be new legislative proposals (for example, a new corporate governance regime) or transactions involving the privatization of national assets or joint ventures with foreign entities.  In addition, we are available to come to your headquarters to give on-site presentations on any aspect of US, English or Italian law or as relates to legal English, and would be happy to discuss a customized plan of study or mini-course for your personnel.
